CHILDREN (1st - 4th)

Children's Ministry

(1st Grade -  4th Grade)

Our desire is to love and nurture these children the way Jesus would have us.

We offer Sunday School, Choir, Drama, AWANA, Children in Action, Vacation Bible School, and Summer Camp so that these children find a home for their heart at Parkway Baptist Church.

We pray daily for the salvation of each child! We plant the seeds of God's word so God can water them and help them to grow.

Through love, service, prayer, and fellowships the teachers seek to teach the children about Jesus and His love for them.

The teachers strive to help them grow daily with the Lord and to help them hold fast to their relationship with Him.

    AWANA

    Every Wednesday during the
    College Station School Year
At 6 PM till 7:30 PM
For Ages 2 thru 6th grade

We would love to have your child join us!

AWANA Club, our Wednesday evening program for children ages two through sixth grade, stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed,” from II Timothy 2:15. It's purpose is two-fold: to draw boys and girls from the community into the club’s activities where they may hear the Gospel and receive Christ as their Savior and to help club members understand the Word of God through Scripture memory and by applying those truths to their daily lives. The children are divided into three different clubs determined by their age:

Puggles are two and three year olds.

Cubbies are three, four, and five year olds.

Sparks are kindergarten, first, and second graders.

Truth and Training are third through sixth graders.

Club meets from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday during the academic school year. The time is divided into three segments that include game time, council time, and handbook time. During game time the clubbers participate in age appropriate physical games. In handbook time the clubbers memorize Bible verses and learn how to apply them to their lives. Council time is led by an adult who shares a Bible story or life lesson expressing truths from the Bible to help in everyday life. Salvation through Christ Jesus is almost always shared.
