Dr.
Kathy Duncan received her bachelor degree from Southwest Texas State University
in San Marcos and then came to A&M to complete her education.
She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1995 and became a
licensed psychologist in 1996. She
actively pursues hours of continuing education.
Dr. Duncan’s goal is always to help with concerns while
leading others to grow in Christ. She
has an eclectic style with an emphasis on cognitive/behavioral techniques but
her primary belief as a Christian counselor is to base understanding of people
and their problems on Scripture and allow the Holy Spirit to heal.
Counseling is available to anyone with an issue she feels
competent to address. There is no
set fee for counseling service – suggested donations are according to income.
Dr. Duncan primarily works with adults but does see some adolescents.
Common areas include adjustment to life situations, depression, anxiety,
anger, marital/family problems, and financial concerns.
It is appropriate to consider counseling whenever things seem to be
keeping you from an effective or meaningful life or you simply want an
opportunity to think through things more clearly and objectively.
If you have any questions about the counseling ministry please contact
Dr. Kathy Duncan at her email address
