MUSIC MINISTRY
Music is a vital part of worship at Parkway Baptist Church. The
Bible encourages us to “sing and make music in your heart to
the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for
everything,” Ephesians 5:19-20. In our times of corporate
worship, everyone is a worship leader in songs of praise and
thanks to our Savior Jesus Christ. From classic hymns to
contemporary praise choruses, our worship time includes a
variety of musical styles that have a Christ honoring message.
Adults at Parkway have many opportunities to share their
talents through the music ministry. The adult choir sings special
music each Sunday and performs musicals at Christmas, Easter,
and at other special occasions. Members of the choir meet each
Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. New singers are always
welcome; no audition is necessary to become a part of the
choir. Parkway’s praise team leads the Sunday morning worship
time. Our music includes piano, keyboards, guitars, drums,
and violin. We love a variety of instruments in worship
and are always looking for new talent. Parkway has a very
active children’s music ministry. We offer choir for ages two
through 6th grade on Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m. The
children sing, play instruments, learn basic music skills, and
have many performance opportunities. Annual musical
productions feature the talent of our young people and tell the
good news of Christ. For more information about this ministry,
