What to Look for in a Quality Center
· Is it a safe, clean, well –maintained facility?
· Is there ample time and room for children to play and explore?
· Are immunizations required?
· Do children who are sick stay home?
· Are teachers trained in first aid, CPR and early brain development?
· Is the outdoor play area fenced & monitored?
· Do children go outside everyday (weather permitting)?
· Are parents welcome to observe children anytime?
· Do teachers interact with and super- vise children sufficiently?
· Are teachers specially trained for the children they teach?
· Are children read to, nurtured individually, and exposed to Bible thoughts throughout each day?
· Are children exposed to a variety of engaging activities?
· Is the curriculum adapted for children at their level of development?
· Is there a daily schedule and routine?
· Is there a written learning plan for each age and stage of development?
· Is there a sign-in/out sheet for attendance?
· For safety, are children released to approved adults only?
