Senior Pastor
Chris Snidow
pastor@pbccs.org
|
I was born in Oklahoma in 1955 but grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I
accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior at the age of 16. My wife,
Cindy, and I were married in 1979 and have one son, Adam, who was born in 1981.
While working as a general contractor in Albuquerque I felt God’s call upon my
life and surrendered to full-time ministry. In 1991 we moved to Fort Worth to
attend Southwestern Seminary. I received a degree in music in 1994 and in 1996
graduated with a Master of Arts Degree in Religious Education. In June of 1996
the Lord brought us to Parkway Baptist Church for me to serve as Associate
Pastor of Music and Education. I have been serving as Senior Pastor since
January 2002. I have been immeasurably blessed each day the Lord allows me to
serve Him. I invite you to come and celebrate the love of Christ with God’s
family at Parkway Baptist Church, A Home For Your Heart! I John 4:7-10
God Bless,
Pastor Chris

Associate Pastor of Music
Bob Morris

|
In April 1957 a godly dad and mom birthed a scrawny baby
boy. Nurtured in a Christian home, this kid grew up knowing the love of a
heavenly Father and in June 1964 gave his heart to Jesus. That kid is me, Bob
Morris.
When you are blessed by so much love, it seems only natural to share it. The
opportunity came in December 1988. While serving as part-time minister of music
at Steep Hollow Baptist Church, God called me to full-time ministry. I was not
exactly academically gifted. But when God leads, He gives you what you need. So
I entered Southwestern Seminary in the fall of 1989, where I miraculously
received a degree in church music in 1993, and then a Master of Music Degree in
1994. God was not done with miracles-He introduced me to another seminary
student, Jill Black, who would become my best friend and wife and also the
mother of our two wonderful children, Rebekah and Zachary.
After leaving seminary I served in churches in Texas and Mississippi. In April
of 2002, I accepted the Lord's call to serve as Associate Pastor of Music and
Youth here at Parkway. I've seen God's miracles, and I'm looking forward to
seeing the Lord move in mighty ways at Parkway Baptist Church. Zephaniah 3:17
Yours in Christ,
Bro. Bob

Youth Minister
Kyle Hendrickson
Kyle@pbccs.org
|
Hi, my name is
Kyle Hendrickson and I am 20 years old. I am
also part of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of
2008! I was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
My parents raised me up in a Christian home and
I have been attending church ever since I can
remember. When I reached the age of eight years
old, I realized I was missing something crucial
in my life, that something was Jesus Christ.
Late on a spring night when I was eight years
old my father led me to Christ, and ever since I
have been trying to serve God, through serving
the church in any way I can.
I was an actively
involved leader in my youth group at First
Baptist Church McKinney all throughout my high
school career. I have continued to serve by
leading worship for various functions throughout
college. I also had the chance to be an intern
for the FBC McKinney youth group, and it was
during that experience I could feel that
ministry could be my calling in life. This past
summer in August I accepted my call from the
Lord to go into vocational, full-time Gospel
ministry. Soon thereafter, I was contacted by
Parkway Baptist to join this team as the
part-time youth pastor. I am already excited to
see what God is doing at Parkway and the growth
that is taking place. And I believe God wants
to see the same growth in the youth ministry as
is taking place in the rest of the church. God
is ALWAYS at work, and all we can do is adjust
our lives so that we can join Him, that is what
I strive for with my life and with my
ministry. John 14:21

Church Counselor
Dr. Kathy Duncan
counselor@pbccs.org
|
I asked Christ to be my Savior in 3rd grade but did not have a real awareness
of making Him Lord of my life until high school. From that time on I have felt
a real awareness that counseling would be my ministry. My husband, Steve, and I
have been members of Parkway since 1990 and we have been truly blessed while
here. We have 4 children: Josh, Danielle, Elissa, and Sarah. I received my
bachelor degree from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos then came
to A&M to complete my education. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology
in 1995 and became a licensed psychologist in 1996. In addition, I have had
many hours of continuing education in Christian counseling through Focus on the
Family, American Association of Christian Counselors, Christian Counselors of
Texas and Theophostic Ministry. In 1996, I began counseling at Parkway.
I believe I am very strongly influenced by the Christian training
that I have received. My goal is always to help with concerns while leading
others to grow in Christ. Although I have an eclectic style with an emphasis on
cognitive/behavioral techniques my primary belief as a Christian counselor is
to base understanding of people and their problems on Scripture and allow the
Holy Spirit to heal.
Counseling is available to anyone with an issue I feel competent
to address. There is no set fee for counseling services - suggested donations
are according to income. I work primarily with adults but see some adolescents.
Common areas include adjustment to life situations, depression, anxiety, anger,
marital/family problems, and financial concerns. It is appropriate to consider
counseling whenever things seem to be keeping you from an effective or
meaningful life or you simply want an opportunity to think through things more
clearly and objectively. If you have other questions about the counseling
ministry, please contact me at my email.
Galatians 6:2 "Bear ye one another's burdens and so fulfill the
law of Christ."

WEE Minister
Cilena Nixon
wee@pbccs.org
|
A member of Parkway Baptist Church since October 19, 1997, Cilena graciously
took the reigns of our successful WEE program in the Fall of 1999. She oversees
all WEE school operations from staffing, curriculum, training, and budget.
Testimony:
At the age of 12, I understood, in my mind, that Christ died for my sins. I
went forward in church when all of my friends did (after completing a
confirmation class with a group of other 5th grade). Afterwards, I went to
church and tried to be a “good person? At 24, my mother-in-law became very ill
with breast cancer. She fought it but the cancer was winning the battle. I
watched her struggle with the disease, but she never lost hope or grace. I saw
friends (from church) tirelessly pray with and for her, visit her, take care of
her, bring her food, clean her house, sit with her and love her
unconditionally. She responded by praying for and with them, and loving them
unconditionally. I knew she had some kind of relationship with Jesus that I did
not have in the good times, much less the bad. A few days after her body died
and her soul went to be with the LORD, I spoke with her pastor. He explained to
me how God's Word, the Bible, explained to us how we need to not only
understand that Jesus died for us, but Jesus also wants us to trust Him to lead
our lives. I prayed a prayer of salvation and ask Jesus to be the LORD of my
life. I was baptized and joined that church a few days later. Since Jesus came
into my life, many changes have occurred, some immediate, some took some time.
He still works in my life.

I was born and
raised in Houston, TX and lived there until the
summer before my senior year of high school. My
parents decided to move to Wimberley, TX so that
is where I graduated from. I have grown up in
church and gave my life to the Lord at an early
age. I am thankful for the Christian heritage
that was passed down to me from my parents. My
first year of college I attended Southwestern
Assemblies of God University (SAGU) in
Waxahachie, TX. I then transferred to Texas
State University in San Marcos for my second
year of college. I helped to establish a
student-led campus ministry there called Chi
Alpha. I was on the leadership team and played
the drums for the praise & worship team. It was
at one of these on campus bible studies that I
met Isabel, my best friend and now my wife! We
both have a heart for ministry and we are
currently helping with the youth group and
teaching the College Sunday School class at our
church, Bethel Temple in Bryan. She is working
on her PhD in physics here at Texas A&M. I am
currently taking online courses from SAGU to
finish my Business Administration degree. I have
worked at the McCombs School of Business at The
University of Texas at Austin in the Executive
Education department for 6 years, and for one
year with General Academic Programs at Texas A&M
University. I am amazed at how awesome God is
especially as I see where he has brought me
from, and as I look forward to where he will
lead me. I am thankful God has given me the
opportunity to be part of the ministry team here
at Parkway Baptist Church. 1Peter
